Dog Adoption Program
Lucky Ones, Inc. rescues "at risk" dogs from
the Southern Maryland Tri-County Animal Shelter (TCAS)
located in Hughesvill, MD. TCAS serves Charles, St. Mary's,
and Calvert Counties. Dogs "at risk" are those that, for
whatever reason (age, size, behavior, breed), have not been
successfully adopted out of the shelter and are facing
euthanasia to make room for more dogs. Our goal is to save
these dogs from certain death and give them a chance to
spend the rest of their lives with loving adopters.
Veterinary
Clinic
Lucky Ones, Inc. runs a not-for-profit
veterinary clinic offering spay/neuter surgery and
vaccinations at a cost well below that of full-service
veterinary clinics. The clinic exists to provide
spay/neuter/vaccinations for Lucky Ones, Inc. dogs and for
pet owners to encourage them to have their pets altered to
help reduce pet overpopulation.
